Things that look broken and are not
“I asked for Bus and it told me to walk”
Under about 1.5 km the journey planner decides walking beats waiting, and returns a walking route. That is a real answer. Over that distance it usually means no service is running at the time you asked — late at night, for instance — or that one end of the trip sits away from the network. The app now says which of the two it thinks is happening.
“The map went quiet underground”
There is no satellite signal in a tunnel. On a train the app switches to counting down against the timetable instead of your position, and hides the stop counter rather than leaving a stale number on screen looking live. It picks your position back up when you surface.
“The map keeps pulling itself back”
It should not, and it no longer does. While navigating, the camera follows you until you move it — then it stays where you put it and a Recentre button appears. If you are seeing it snap back, please tell us what you were doing.
“Nothing loads”
The map needs WebGL2 and a working connection. If the basemap looks unfamiliar, the app has fallen back to a standard style because its own did not load — it says so at the bottom of the screen, and everything still works.
What this app is not
Directions here are estimates built from open data. Travel times do not account for traffic, ERP gantries, road closures or service disruptions. This is not official navigation advice.Obey road signs and conditions, follow the operator’s own information for buses and trains, and do not handle your phone while driving.
Where the data comes from
Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Tiles are served by OpenFreeMap. Search and public transport journeys come from OneMap, published by the Singapore Land Authority. Road routing comes from OSRM and Valhalla.
Privacy
There are no accounts and no advertising, and your location is never requested unless you ask for it. The full detail is on the privacy page.
